CMU Maverick Open Resource Educators (MORE):
Faculty stipends will be awarded through a competitive process, where individual and small groups of faculty members will submit grant proposals outlining the work required to adopt, 适应, or create OER materials for a chosen course to an OER Selection Committee. The selection criteria will be roughly modeled off of the Colorado Department of Higher Education's Open Educational 资源 (OER) individual/small group grant selection criteria, where courses with high student enrollments and/or high textbook 成本, GT Pathways and Statewide Transfer Articulation Agreement (STAA) courses, and essential learning courses will be favored over upper-level, low enrollment courses.
We plan to offer the following levels of incentive funding to the CMU faculty to encourage them to adopt, 适应, or create OER for their courses:
1级: 采用ion of an existing OER text with zero or minimal 适应ation required (individual): $1,500
2级: 采用ion of an existing OER text with more extensive 适应ation required (individual): $3,500
3级: Creation of a new OER text (individual): $5,000
4级: 采用ion of an existing OER text with more extensive 适应ation required (small group): $7,000
